Small Bedroom Storage Ideas That Do Not Look Like Storage
A small bedroom fails when storage is visible from the doorway. These ideas keep everyday things reachable while leaving the room looking calm.

The space under a bed is usually the largest unused volume in a small home. Used well, it removes the need for a second dresser.
Use the volume you already have
1.Match your under-bed baskets to the bed height
Measure the clearance first. Baskets an inch too tall will be abandoned within a week.
2.Keep one basket empty
An empty basket is where clutter goes before guests arrive. It is the difference between a system that holds and one that collapses.
3.Hang a rail above the door
The wall above a door is dead space in almost every bedroom and takes a light shelf easily.
Choose furniture that earns its footprint
A narrow bench at the foot of the bed with a lid holds bedding and gives you somewhere to sit. Anything that does one job only should be reconsidered.
- Lidded bench instead of a blanket box
- Bedside table with a drawer, not an open shelf
- Slim shoe rack rather than a floor pile
