About Home On A Budget
Beautiful spaces. Sensible spending.
Home On A Budget is an editorial site about making a home look and work better without overspending. We write about affordable decorating, storage that fits real rooms, small-space layouts, and outdoor improvements you can do in stages.
Every idea is written to be specific and usable: what it involves, what usually gets in the way, and what to check before you spend anything. Where we mention costs, we say where the figure comes from and treat it as a general range rather than a quote for your home.
What we cover
Four sections, each one a different way of spending less on a better room:
- Decorating — Colour, texture and styling changes that lift a room without a renovation budget.
- Small Spaces — Layouts and furniture choices that make a tight room feel calm and usable.
- Storage — Storage that fits the room you actually have, and stays tidy after week one.
- Outdoor — Patios, planting and yard projects you can do in affordable stages.
Who writes this
Dana Ruiz is the editor and writer behind Home On A Budget. Articles carry her byline, and she is responsible for what gets published and for any corrections we make.
How we handle photography
Photographs on this site are illustrative. We label them as such and record their source. We do not publish before-and-after images that imply a result we did not produce.
